Salony Garg b.1992 is a contemporary Indian painter. At 25, she worked as a cartoonist and graphic designer in India but was motivated to pursue fine art professionally when painting with friends. In 2019, seeking to create representative work, Salony sought to study at Samsara Academy of Art and graduated from Barcelona Academy of Art.

She was recently awarded Gold Prize in Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation (2025) and First Prize in the Still Life Category by Terra Verna Gallery (California), Bold Brush Award 2024. Her work has been exhibited at the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York and Oxo Gallery (Derwent Art Prize), London. Art Renewal Center has chosen the 'Power of Self-Acceptance' & ' Anandee' to be sent to the moon, as part of the Lunar Codex cultural time capsule project.

"My work explores identity, belonging, and human connection inspired by tradition and nature. Through facial expressions, family bonds, and tranquil landscapes, I aim to evoke nostalgia and reflection.

As a child, I favoured drawing over colour, but artists like Monet, Sorolla, and Degas inspired me to embrace colour over time. My process is sculptural, with forms emerging from abstraction. I experiment with compositions and textures to create mystical spaces of simplicity and solitude. Ultimately, I aim to craft a visual sanctuary where viewers can pause, reflect, and connect with shared experiences of love, heritage, and humanity.
